PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS -

1. An agriculturist in his ancestral village Loharsi ( Distt. Bilaspur) , he manages his own cultivation in the village, Brought up and influenced with spiritual and philosophical thoughts and social service.

2. A first rate practicing lawyer of Chhattisgarh comprising of Raipur and Bilaspur Revenue Divisions with wide range of law practice and thus coming in close contact of people of all cross sections in very large number.

3. Social worker from 1942 in the context of India Movement with keen interest in education and cooperation. He has been associated with Congress since 1944, and secretary, Town Congress, Bilaspur and Member of working

Committee, Distt. Congress, Bilaspur 1953-1966 Mahamantri Distt. Praja Socialist Party, Helped in socialistic

movement in Chhattisgarh and also dedicated for the cause of Nation & State.

4. Member, M.P.Vidhan Sabha Congress 1967-71 and Minister for Law and Cooperation in the Congress Government.

5. Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Congress 1971~77 and again 80-84 December.

6. President, M.P. Provincial Congress Committee, Bhopal 1982 April - 1984 August.

7. Many. President of Law for 10 years in S.B.R. College, Bilaspur (MR)

8. Member of Executive Committee of Ravishankar University Raipur for 3 years.

9. Hony. Secretary Central Coop. Bank Ltd., Bilaspur for 18 years.

10. President, M.P. State Coop. Un ion labalpur for 15 years.

11. President, M.P. State Coop Mktg. Federation Bhopal for 10 years. He continued holding offices in the above State Cooperative till Nov. 1977.

12. President, National Coop. Union of India, New Delhi from 1971 to December 1972 and since then Member of Governing Council and Executive Committee till 1985 August.

13.President, National Agricultural Coop. Marketing Federation of India, New Delhi elected twice 1977 to 1983.

18.Member ICA Advisory Committee for South East Asia, I-I.Q. New Delhi and President of its Agriculture Development Committee.

19. Widely travelled abroad covering United Kingdom, USA, USSR, Japan, East and West Germany, France, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Egypt, Australia, Thailand, Philipines and a couple of other countries leading Coop. Delegations attending meeting of ICA and Advisory Council of South East Asia and Cooperative Conferences representing India with active interest and participation in the delegations.

20. Keenly interested in the development of the society and improvement of living standard of people in village and deprived children and welfare of weaker section of society and developed cooperatives at all levels particularly the primary cooperatives coordinating their function from village, district and State level.

21. Even at the age of 75, still he was more active than a youngman as a lawyer, social leader, politician, reformer and corporator. He has been honored innumerable times since 19605 till this date for his outstanding contribution or copperatives social and political contribution from village level to block, district, State and at National Capital. He was posthumously awarded for his National - International cooperative contribution in 2001 at Delhi by NCUI National Conference.
